l was at a seminar many years ago where the facilitator shared
her struggle with a terrible temper. This temper, she felt, was
the reason God was holding back on blessing her with a child.
She said God knew if she was to raise a child with that kind
of temper, she might one day in anger, 'damage' the child. She
was advised to take up a teaching job. As a teacher working
with children, she learnt patience, how to control her temper.
Not long after this, she got pregnant and had her first daughter.
When Israel left Egypt, there were shorter routes God could
have taken them through to get to Canaan. The land of the
Philistines was one of them. But He didn't.
"..Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see
war, and return to Egypt. So God led the people around by way
of the wilderness of the Red sea.."Exo.13:17-18.
God deliberately delayed their progress.
Dear Christian professional, answering your request is the least
challenge God has. He is much more concerned about the
'process' than the 'result'.
And the process is simply to ensure that your focus is still o
Him even after getting the result!
"that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the
power of God" 1Cor.2:5.
